Getting to the Vatican and the Vatican Museums
The Vatican Museums and St Peter's Basilica have separate entrances: the Museums on Viale Vaticano and the basilica on St Peter's Square. Here is how to reach each one by metro, bus, tram or taxi, with the ticket you need.
Routes to the Vatican
The simplest way is metro line A toward Battistini to Ottaviano or Cipro, about 500 m (a third of a mile) from the Museums entrance. The step-by-step route starts at Termini and covers the buses, tram 19 and the taxi rank opposite the Museums.
